This dissertation was written by Dr. Patrick E. Smith and is published in the UCR Science Library. It includes an analysis of the former longitudinal stream profiles in fluvial terraces along the San Juan Creek drainage basin together with their chronology, and it reveal and assesses seismic slip rates and recurrence intervals of the Cristianitos and Mission Viejo faults, as well as determining rates of crustal displacement within this coastal regime.
