I knew I was going to get in trouble with my mom. And I got in trouble with the court system. He (Cop Jim Ashley) took us back home that night and drop use off. He took us back and my mom found that we lied about the track party. I got in trouble there. It really pissed our mom off that we lied to her. That’s why we got in trouble. We got yelled at and grounded ‘n all that crap. So we got in trouble with my mom, and we got in trouble with the court system. We had to pick up all the ciger butts (cigarette) at the football field for I don’t know how many weeks.
My mom talked to the probation officer and he said that he got this same report over and over by Jim Ashley about the incident. He reported us to the probation officer several times, over and over. At the time he was reporting that, we had already gotten in trouble and was already picking up ciger butts at the field. He did this over a period of weeks. “These girls are delinquent, these girls are bad,…” because he was mad that I spit in his face. He kept doing the same incident report ‘n over and over making sure we got in trouble for it.
We was picking up ciger butts on the whole field, underneath the bleachers, in the field, in the parking lot, everything. We did it over and over and over, and we never did get them all. There was no way of getting them all, but it kept you busy picking them all up.
